Leadership DeKalb will celebrate its 35th Anniversary next year. The organization has trained and graduated over 1,200 leaders through the core program and 48 young leaders through the Emerging Leaders of DeKalb program. More importantly, since 2014, it has helped 54 Nonprofit organizations in DeKalb County through the Community Service Projects module.
The Board of Directors, Staff and Program Committee of Leadership DeKalb are committed to ensuring the organization continues to make better leaders and a stronger DeKalb. To that end, we are launching our Individual Giving Campaign. We need your help to ensure that Leadership DeKalb continues to serve DeKalb, especially during these difficult times.
In 2018, we launched our major gift program called The Beacon Society. To date, we have 37 Beacon members donating at $1,500 each. In 2020, we rolled out other giving levels ranging from $100 - $750.
Leadership DeKalb is a small 501-C-3 Nonprofit organization that relies on funding from sponsors, grants and individual donations. We are a modest organization with operating expenses less than $400,000, a small staff of three people, and a small reserve fund. We are good stewards of funding and ensure all funds are directed to operating the organization and implementing the program.
We ask that you consider supporting Leadership DeKalb—at whatever level is most comfortable to you. Due to COVID-19, we have a reduced tuition revenue and a $25,000 budget shortfall. We hope you will help us bridge that gap.
