Active Members Power Leadership DeKalb

Join at graduation and renew annually to receive the benefits of active membership, including discounts to alumni and DeKalb Chamber of Commerce events, plus the coveted Membership Directory. Membership at the FRIEND level and higher includes a business photo with your Membership Directory listing.

Active memberships support the general operation of the adult and youth leadership programs. Renewals are on a calendar basis.

Maximize Your Membership: Designate Your Donation

Once you choose to donate more than the basic $75 member level, you may designate the additional funds to a program(s) listed below. If you do not designate, we will apply your donation where most needed:

YOUTH LEADERSHIP DEKALB: Supports the leadership training program for 10th and 11th graders, (a $1,350 per student value).

GENERAL PROGRAM SUPPORT: Supports direct costs for alumni programs as we strive to create a stronger membership organization.

SCHOLARSHIP SUPPORT: Applies to partial scholarship for a deserving adult class member usually from a nonprofit agency but who otherwise could not afford the full tuition.

SHURONDA SMITH SCHOLARSHIP (Founded by Class of ’02): Applies to partial scholarship for an emerging leader in the community who shows great promise. Given in memory of Shuronda Smith ‘02, former Dean at Agnes Scott College.

SUE ELLEN OWENS WILLIAMS ’89 SCHOLARSHIP (Founded by Class of ’98): Applies to partial scholarship for an emerging leader from a non-profit organization. Given in honor of the founding Executive Director of Leadership DeKalb.
