Leadership DeKalb: Developing and Connecting DeKalb's Leaders since 1986

Leadership DeKalb’s leadership development program is an instrument of positive change in DeKalb County. Since the program’s beginning in 1986, Leadership DeKalb has built a committed group of leaders who are well informed about DeKalb County and the issues that we face, as a region. Many CEO’s of top public and private companies, as well as a large number of DeKalb’s elected officials, educators, judges, entrepreneurs, volunteers and nonprofit leaders are graduates. Leadership DeKalb develops an ethnically and culturally diverse group of enlightened leaders for DeKalb County through:

TRAINING:

During the Leadership DeKalb 10-month program, class members are introduced to a wide range of issues facing DeKalb County, begin networking across the DeKalb community and build their personal leadership skills.

 

 

ThomasMEMBERSHIP:

After graduation from the training program, class members join more than 850 other Leadership DeKalb graduates for continued leadership development, networking and service as community trustees for DeKalb County. Leadership DeKalb equips established and emerging leaders with a unique understanding of the issues facing DeKalb County, and – because of the community-wide connections that they develop during the program – a unique opportunity to have a positive impact on those issues. Graduates are personally and professionally enriched by the Leadership DeKalb experience.

 

Leadership DeKalb is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization. Leadership DeKalb began as a program of the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce in 1986 and in 1994 became an independent organization.
